Azmin Ali To Lead Trade And Investment Mission To South Korea And Japan
Senior Minister and Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Mohamed Azmin Ali will lead a trade and investment mission to the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Japan from today to April 6.
The mission is an important step in enhancing efforts to promote Malaysia as a preferred investment destination as well as a sourcing hub for global businesses since ROK and Japan in particular are key strategic partners for Malaysia for decades, most notably in the areas of trade and investment
This meeting will be the first official trade and investment mission since taking office as Senior Minister and Minister of International Trade and Industry on 10 March 2020. It will showcase the Government’s business friendly policy and initiatives to solidify economic cooperation with key regional partners.

BNM Expects Rebound In Economic Growth
The central bank is optimistic that the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme will improve confidence and support the economic recovery. Although headline inflation is expected to rise, it will be driven mainly by supply side factors. Underlying price pressures, on the other hand, will remain subdued with core inflation projected to be between 0.5 to 1.5 percent amid spare capacity in the economy.

MoF Commits To Improve The Financial Market
FTSE Russell’s decision to retain Malaysia’s membership in the FTSE World Government Bond Index (WGBI) is a testament to the soundness of Malaysia’s sovereign bond market, while reaffirming the country’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals and resilience.
The MOF stated they will continue collaborating with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the Financial Markets Committee (FMC), Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), Bursa Malaysia, and the Financial Markets Association Malaysia (FMAM) to further develop Malaysia’s financial market, as well as improve its standing within the global investment community.
The minister also noted that Malaysia has witnessed foreign inflow of RM41.6 billion into Malaysia’s government bonds since April 2019.

Demand for Sunway Belfield’s First Tower Opens Second Tower For Sale

Vaccinated Travelers Not Exempted From Mandatory Quarantine
Ministry of Health’s (MoH) Director-General, Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah highlighted that vaccinated travelers are not exempted from complying with the prescribed Covid-19 infection prevention measures which includes mandatory quarantine. in the meantime, MoH will continue to monitor the development of Covid-19 infections within and outside the country, whereby screening for the disease among travellers from abroad
