MOSTI: Developed Countries Causing Slow Down In Vaccine Supply Chain
Khairy Jamaluddin has highlighted that the phase two of the programme will go as planned from April 19 despite the slow reception by the people for the vaccination.
Additionally, he said that the greedy attitude of developed countries in buying huge quantities of vaccine far bigger than the population is proving to be a supply challenge as well. However, The Government will try to speed up the delivery of the vaccine.

Selangor Announces RM5 Million Digital Matching Grant For SMEs
The Selangor state government is inviting SMEs to apply for its Digital Matching Grant, offering up to RM5 million to help entrepreneurs to digitalise their businesses.
Chief Minister, Amirudin Shari said the state has allocated a 50 percent matching grant or a maximum of RM5,000 to each SME to subscribe to the chosen digital service providers and the initiative is expected to benefit at least 1,000 SMEs in Selangor

LBS Inks RDA With Malacca To Reclaim And Develop 1,200 Acres
LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS) has signed a reclamation and development agreement (RDA) with the Malacca state government for the rights to reclaim and develop a 1,200 acres area through its indirect 70 percent-owned subsidiary, Leaptec Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
The proposed reclaimed land will be part of the Melaka Waterfront Economic Zone (M-WEZ) which spans an area of 25,000 acres located in the coastline of the Melaka state.

Sabah Government Launches CONNECTme NOW High-Speed Satellite Broadband In 250 Villages
Part of the state government’s initiative to intensify internet connectivity in rural areas Sabah, Sabah Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (“KSTI”), Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (“MCMC”) and MEASAT Global Berhad (“MEASAT”) has deployed, CONNECTme NOW, a community-based prepaid broadband service, in Kampung Mantus and Kampung Malubang
This is the continuation of recent satellite broadband rollout in several remote villages earlier this year.

Huawei Inks MoU With UM In Efforts To Nurture Digital Competencies Among Student
The Asia-Europe Institute (AEI) of University Malaya (UM) and Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Huawei) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in efforts to accelerate Malaysia’s transformation into an advanced digital economy by 2030.

Merchant commerce platform, Pine Labs has acquired consumer fintech platform, Fave in a deal valued over RM185 million.
