2. SGB Signs Supply Agreement Of 3.5 Million Doses with MoH
Convidicea, a recombinant novel Coronavirus vaccine, was jointly developed by CanSino Biologics Inc. (CanSino) and Beijing Institute of Biotechnology under the Academy of Military Medical Sciences. Additionally, CanSino has authorised SOLBIO and granted it the exclusive right to register, manufacture and commercialise the vaccine in Malaysia.

3. Volvo Car Introduces Family Bond Policy
Volvo Car has announced new paid parental leave policy to its employees effective on April 1, 2021 as part of their support for equal parenting. The ‘Family Bond’ policy is applicable for employees with at least one year of service entitled to a total of 24 weeks of leave at 80 percent of their base pay by default. The leave can be taken anytime within the first three years of parenthood.

4. Sun Life Malaysia Allocates over RM1 Million for Covid-19 Side-Effects
Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad and Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad has established a support measure for its clients who are affected by the outbreak under two funds, the Covid-19 Vaccine Complication Fund and the RM1 million Covid-19 Medical Assistance Fund.
These two funds mainly ensure assistance for post-vaccination side-effects and coverage against rising hospital treatment costs due to Covid-19 infection by referral by the Ministry of Health (MoH) Malaysia.

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has approved another RM10.5 million worth of grants benefiting 50 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups. Additionally, MDEC is in the midst of disbursing RM3.5 million worth of grant claims to 20 recipients, mainly from the digital creative content industry.
